Shark Tank Star Kevin O’Leary Debuts a $19.5M Trading Card Necklace at the 2026 SAG Awards and the Internet Can’t Stop Talking

Kevin O’Leary may be eyeing a role in a ping pong movie, but on the SAG Awards 2026 red carpet, he was showing off a different kind of sport.

The investor-turned-actor paired his flashy suit with an even flashier accessory: a Michael Jordan–Kobe Bryant autographed basketball card necklace. O’Leary, one of only three people to buy the card in August for $12.9 million, told AP that the rare “one-of-one” collector’s item is now valued at an astonishing $19.2 million.

“I look at this card the same way you’d look at buying a Picasso in 1962,” he said, highlighting that the historic piece has “outperformed crypto.”

The investor-turned-actor walked the carpet with his wife, Linda O’Leary, wearing a Michael Jordan–Kobe Bryant autographed basketball card as a necklace—customized with a diamond-encrusted Tiffany frame and dazzling chain. While O’Leary admitted he wasn’t sure how much the bespoke bling added to the card’s value, a similar—but far smaller—Tiffany chain retails for $275,000.

O’Leary, one of just three people to buy the card in August for $12.9 million, told AP that the rare “one-of-one” collector’s item is now worth an astonishing $19.2 million. “I brought this back because I want to bring Kobe back to LA on such a big night in the city,” he said of the late sports legend. “It’s the first time we brought it out; I thought it would be great for the red carpet.”

The card is already historic: it set a record last year for the highest price ever paid for a sports card and ranks as the second most expensive sports collectible of all time, only behind Babe Ruth’s 1932 jersey.
